Hi! I’m Nick, a Creative Production & Operations leader based in London, currently Head of Creative Operations over at BBC Maestro, where I lead the Creative Studio while overseeing wider creative operations across the business.
I’ve over 13 years experience, both agency and brand side, delivering exceptional campaigns and leading internal creative teams for brands such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Electronic Arts (EA), King, Candy Crush, Starling Bank, Thomas Cook, Virgin Atlantic, Cineworld, Rimmel London and BBC Maestro.
Today, my focus is on building high-performing creative organisations, combining creative excellence with scalable operational practices to help businesses deliver outstanding work effectively.
Alongside leading multidisciplinary creative teams and shaping high-performing creative content, I oversee operational planning, resource management, production workflows and cross-functional processes that enable teams across the business to deliver efficiently at scale.
I foster collaborative, high-performing teams that deliver exceptional campaigns and content across email, social and web, with a particular focus on insight-driven paid media creative that performs against measurable KPIs. - often in large quantities to strict timings.
My skillset is a precise blend of creative leadership and operational excellence. Just as comfortable directing creative, shaping brand expression and leading ad conception workshops as I am improving operational processes, optimising resource planning, researching AI tools and aligning stakeholders to ensure teams deliver effectively and efficiently.
I believe collaboration is key, and building strong relationships with Founders, CMOs, CPOs and leadership teams is crucial to keeping creative studios and operational functions aligned with current business priorities and objectives, ensuring our efforts consistently contribute to the overarching business goals.
Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, I pride myself on my ability to keep a team happy, inspired and motivated. Giving a creative team room to breathe and flex their skills is the best way to develop engaging and performing creative, yet balancing this with maintaining scope, budget and timings can be a delicate process, but one that is always at the top of my priorities.
